We have always endeavoured to take all our many responsibilities seriously. Not only do we have to consider our colleagues, customers, clients and members of the general public, but also we are aware of our duties to the world itself. To this end we continually assess whether the way we work can be improved to lessen our impact on the climate while maintaining the levels of service our clients deserve. We currently have various initiatives in place, including:

we have introduced extensive services to provide remote assistance to clients, reducing the need for travel to site

all equipment we supply is compliant with the RoHS directive which controls the reduction of hazardous materials used within electrical and electronic equipment

all the equipment we supply is also compliant with the WEEE directive which governs the disposal and recycling of electronic and electrical equipment

we have contracted with local contractors for seperate collections of general and recyclable waste to ensure that as much waste as possible is recycled

our accounts office use the BACS system of payments where possible for the receipt and payments of monies elctronically and have embraced HMRC's on-line declaration procedures for submission of the various returns required of us

paper is recycled for internal use

cardboard and other protective packaging is re-used when equipment is sent to third parties, often the same packaging can be used many times

staff are encouraged to conduct as many communications as possible by e-mail, so reducing the production of paper output

where available all consumables used within the business are made from recycled materials

it is Company policy that all electrical equipment that is not in use is turned off and computers are turned off overnight in otder to reduce energy useage

Company vehicles are selected with the CO2 credentials being the most significant factor, this is the gauge of carbon dioxide produced per kilometer driven and so goes some way to reflect the impact of each journey

The list above is not exhaustive but illustrates some of the ways in which we attempt to reduce our impact on the environment. Of course many of these measures will have the added benefit of reducing costs which helps us toward economic as well as ethical benefits.
